Defensive Marksmanship Course
For the Executive Protection Professional

Course Overview:

This 2-day, Defensive Marksmanship Course is designed to provide the student with a solid core foundation of the fundamentals of marksmanship and an understanding of the basic principles and theories required to establish precision at extended ranges. The student will engage targets ranging from 100 to 1000 Yards under various conditions. The student should expect low to moderate activity levels during this course. 

Topics Include: 

  • Review of weapon systems and gear

  • Rifle fitting, sight adjustments

  • Establishing zero

  • Fundamentals of marksmanship

  • Introduction to MOA/MILs

  • Intro to ballistics

  • Wind calling and weather/environmental factors.

Needed Items: 

1. Binos at least 10X

2. Data Log Book

3. At least 200 rounds of ammo

4. Rifle (308, 6.5 CM or 300 WM), w/ Bi-pod

5. Scope, at least 10X w/ Mil or MOA adjustments

6. Notebook w/pen or pencil

7. Hearing Protection

8. Eye Protection
